How To Change Your Background?

Before going into the Ezedit module to change your background image there are four things you need to do FIRST.

1. Save the image that you are going to use for your background in a folder somewhere on your computer.

2. The name of the folder CANNOT have special characters or spaces in it.

3. The image MUST be a jpeg or a gif.

4. The name of the image CANNOT have special characters or spaces in it.

Some examples of special characters are %, &, _, -, ( ), ?, !, < >, *, etc...

These CANNOT be in the name of the folder of the image.

If they are the background image will NOT show up on your website.

To change your background's image go to the Image Gallery module and click on +add gallery.

1. Fill in the Gallery Name

2. For the Gallery Folder put the name of the folder where you saved your background image

3. Change the End Date ( Example: from 1/1/2010 to 1/1/2060 )

4. Click on 'create gallery & add images'

1. Click browse

2. Select your background image

3. Hit Upload

4. Once it is uploaded go to the URL and and highlight the portion that begins with ''/moduleUploads/ezgalleries/'' and everything else that follows after like the example below.

5. Right-click on what is highlighted and click copy.

1. Go to the Style module

2. In the blank beside 'webpage background image', clear out everything that is already in the blank

3. Paste in the URL you copied

4. After you paste go the end of the URL

5. Add a forward slash and the name of your background image to the end of the URL

6. Click submit

7. Go to your website and make sure the background image is showing up properly

If the background image is not showing up properly and you need to try again, you need to create a new image gallery and you must change the folder name that your background image is stored in. If you still are unable to change your background, click here to contact the IT Department.
