Welcome to the Phoca Gallery Tutorial.

1. To access Phoca Gallery you need to click on Components from your tool bar.
2. Under Components you will see Phoca Gallery.
3. Under Phoca Gallery click on Control Panel

1. Once you do this you will see the following screen.
2. Assuming this is your first time accessing Joomla, Their will be one category already setup for you.
a. However, We will start by creating a new category.

1. Click on the category icon and the following page will appear.
2. As you can see below, I have already created one General Category for gracepentecostal.ca
3. For this Tutorial, we will click on new and create a second category.

1. Under the Category screen all you have to do is name the folders that you want the pictures to appear in.
2. For this example, we are doing a men's cookout.
3. Once you have name your category, you can save and close.

1. Once we have saved and closed the category page click on images.
2. On this page you will see all images that have been previously loaded to the page.
3. You can also click on them to edit their names, categories, along with several other features.
4. You can choose on this page to load one image or multiple images at one time.
5. If you load more than one image at a time it will name them after the category.
Example. Category named: Sunday School.
The pictures will load. Sunday School1, Sunday School2, Sunday School3 and so on.
You can go back and rename each picture by clicking on them and then the edit button.
6. For our purposes we will load one picture at a time. This way we will not have to go back and edit them.

1. Once you click on NEW, you will see the following page.
2. There is three things that you must do on this page to load your image.
a. Name the picture. I am naming mine The Grill.
b. Secondly make sure you pick the right category. I am choosing the Men's Cookout to load my picture too.
c. Finally we must select the pictures by clicking on filename.

1. Once you click on filename a pop up will appear showing all the pictures that you have already loaded.
2. We will scroll to the bottom and load a new picture by browsing for it.
3. One thing to note here: "File size" The picture cannot be any bigger than 3.00 MB and 3072 x 2304.
If you load a picture bigger than this it will shut allowing you to load pictures at all to phoca.
At this point you will have to contact us and have us fix the module so it will allow you to load pictures.

1. I choose to load a picture of our grill.
2. Once you click load the following screen will pop up.

1. Once the thumbnail is generated you will see the picture listed with the rest of the pictures.
2. Click on the thumb of the picture.

1. Once you do this, the name of the picture will appear in the filename box.
2. After this save and close.

1. Once you save and close the generator will pop back up linking the name to the thumbnail.

1. Once you have done this it will kick you back to the image screen.
2. I went ahead and loaded to pictures while I was at it and you can see them both below.
3. They are both under the category Men's Cookout.

1. Now going to the website, click on photo galleries.
2. You will see the general category name after the website and you will see the category that you added.
3. The website is showing Men's Cookout with two pictures.

1. Now if you click on your folder category the pictures inside the folder will pop up.

1. By clicking on one of the pictures it will pop up the pictures in its original size.
2. Final note: Under the options panel you can change the columns, color and other features that are shown        on your website.
